The Gyeongsangbuk-do Economic Promotion Agency successfully held the 2nd Gyeongbuk Spark Forum in 2022 at POSCO Changeup Ground in Pohang on the 13th.


The Gyeongbuk Spark Forum is regularly held to provide new inspiration to representatives of small and medium-sized companies and to prepare for the future industry of Gyeongbuk by discovering and supporting new innovation and cooperation models through connections between startups.


More than 100 people attended the forum, including Jeon Chang-rok, head of the Gyeongbuk Economic Promotion Agency, Park Sung-hwan, head of the Gyeongbuk IT Convergence Industry Technology Institute, and representatives of small and medium-sized companies and startups in Gyeongbuk.


Kim Geun-hwan, managing director of POSCO Holdings, who gave a keynote lecture, introduced POSCO Group's innovation capabilities, future technology R&D trends, and POSCO Group's venture platform under the theme of "Open Innovation Strategy Based on Industry, Science and Research."


Kim Jong-hyun, CEO of Valleyant Data Co., Ltd., received sympathy by presenting cases of collaboration with the Korea Information and Communication Technology Association & B2N under the theme of "Co-prosperity with small and medium-sized companies and startups and data."


In addition, 8 startups in various industries, including Jin, Payit, Yuri, Nanosystems, Haga, RoboI, Dawon Chemical, and Milepost, and 12 representatives of small and medium-sized companies, including Geumchang, visited cooperative partners by introducing their companies.


On this day, small and medium-sized companies gained new inspiration through startups, such as discovering business models, and startups became a valuable place to achieve scale-up between each other by finding partners and investors to cooperate with their technology development skills and ideas.
